BOUJAD N° 269BJ

A charming small Moroccan rug from the 1990s with a time-faded patina adding a painterly quality to the overall composition. The bright colors outline the contours of some of the shapes in the design which stand out against the faded blurry background. This rug probably stems from the region around Oued Grou near Moulay Bouazza, recognizable for to the usage of some goat hair in the pile. Rugs from this region are usually called Boujad but the area does belong to the Zayan region already.
