AIT SEGHROUCHENE N° 272AS

An Ait Seghrouchène rug, 1970s, from the northeastern Middle Atlas (south bordering the Beni Ouarain tribe), with unbridled variety in the geometric drawing. Based on a conventional diamond pattern, the weaver used individual diamonds, ranging from small to large, as individual shapes, as filling motifs or to form groups, thus creating a playful correlation in geometry. This rug has a dense pile with a fine surface. The upper and lower edge need to be slightly restored. Repairs can be made after consultation with the new owner.
